Yep, you read that right. The beautiful thing about the for-profit world is that it is typically trying new ideas and models before the non-profit world does. If you run, are part of or are thinking of starting a non-profit I would highly suggest you start looking around at the local business around you, read some business journals and take a look at what is new and working in the for-profit world. Then adapt it to you. Take the learnings, failures, and the headway that businesses have made and adapt it to your organization. There is nothing better than not reinventing the wheel!
